St Joseph's PS said goodbye today to two long serving members of staff. Mrs Eileen Phillips who has taught in the school for 27 years, has taken up a post with the EA Literacy Support Service. Eileen taught across all the year groups from Nursery to Primary 7 during her years here with us. We wish her all the very best in her new role...she will no doubt be a wonderful asset to the Literacy Support Serivce. She is pictured receiving a presentation from Mrs Cecilia Creaney.
Mrs Sylvia Boyle, konwn to all as just 'Sylvia' has worked as secretary in St Joseph's for 40 years! She has served under all four Principals of the school and bids us a farewell to enjoy a well deserved retirement. The children today were stuck when asked did they know her surname, as she was affectionately addressed by her first name by all the children. We wish Sylvia many years of health and happiness to enjoy her retirement. She is pictured receiving a presentation form Mrs Theresa Cranney.
Eileen and Sylvia will be missed very much by all the pupils and staff of St Joseph's PS.
