Our Journey to become a 'Nut Aware' school.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

As you may be aware there is a considerable increase in the number of allergies that children have nowadays. We are asking parents/guardians to be conscientious in the selection of snacks that your child brings to class. This note is to remind you that all nuts and products containing nuts e.g., peanut butter, Nutella, etc. are not permitted in school in any form. Please join us in our journey of becoming a ‘Nut Aware’ school.

In line with our healthy eating policy, children should bring a piece of fruit, a plain sandwich and bottle of water for break. Please instruct your child that they are not permitted to share food with other children at breaktime or lunchtime.

Please refrain from sending in cakes to school for birthdays. Although cakes may be labelled nut free, this cannot be guaranteed.
