St. Joseph's was delighted to receive three Special Recognition Awards at the Families First NI Awards in the Titanic building last Saturday night. The school was nominated in three categories - Best Support Staff, Primary School and School Principal. Staff and parents were represented on the night by Mrs. Creaney, her daughter Leeanna Scott, Mr. McGovern (Senior Leader) and Miss Smith who was key in getting the school involved.
All the awards are a tribute to the whole community of St. Joseph's - our staff, pupils and parents. We are truly delighted and particularly for Mrs. Creaney, who was nominated in the category of Best Support Staff, and has given 37 years service to the school. Celie (as she is known to us all) is incredibly kind, caring and supportive to everyone in the school. She is an inspiration to us all with her 'let's get on with it attitude' and ability to know what the children need. We are very lucky to have Mrs. Creaney on our staff.
